2030 Sustainable Development Goals: A Palestinian Perspective

As with all UN member States, the Palestinian Authority is required to conduct consultations and dialogues regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to develop priorities agreed upon with all relevant parties within the Palestinian community (civil society, private sector, academics, scientists, etc.), in addition to developing a strategic plan for implementation on the local/regional level, descending from international to the national to the local and regional. Further, each state should devise a national framework for follow-up and evaluation, submit an annual report on progress, and form multilateral committees to support application and implementation, as well as identifying a government body to be responsible for monitoring the implementation of the goals.
