The Climate Injustice; Western Discourse and the War on Gaza
As Palestine is vulnerable to climate impacts, adaptation to climate implementation action plans for six vulnerable sectors; agriculture, energy, health, transport, waste, and water were drafted in reference to the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) . Palestine NDC report highlighted that the “Israeli” occupation substantially reduces the State of Palestine’s adaptive capacities thereby compounding climate vulnerabilities . It’s important to note that Palestinian emissions are coming from transport and energy sectors mainly for household electricity consumption. Palestine doesn't have a military, nor is eligible by international treaties to have heavy military supplies. Worth mentioning that adaptation plans are not fully meant for combating climate impacts, but also to overcome the occupation theft and restrictions on access to the Palestinians natural resources.
