About Us

Al Marsad–the Social and Economic Policies Monitor aims to protect the rights of the most marginalized Palestinians through the prism of analysis and monitoring of social and economic policies in Palestine.

As part of this commitment, Al-Marsad creates a corpus of evidence-based policy studies, opening up avenues for social participation. Building networks and coalitions for social actors and providing a platform for dialogue and cooperation, Al-Marsad joins the concerted effort of regional nongovernmental organizations to advocate for social and economic policies steeped in social justice. In so doing, Al-Marsad’s team develops position papers, factsheets, and critical analyses of development plans, in addition to undertaking its own development research. The resulting policy work are adopted at the highest levels by a large number of organizations Palestine-wide, generating more effective and feasible lobbying and advocacy.
